(Philadelphia, PA—September 5, 2012) – The 21st Philadelphia Film Festival, to be held October 18-28, invites the city to see something it’ll never forget. New this year, the Festival is launching a pilot program that offers complimentary tickets to select films throughout the 11-day event, thanks to support provided by the Wyncote Foundation.

“PFF On Us” further realizes the mission of the Philadelphia Film Society, which aims to utilize film’s unique capacity to engage a broad cross-section of the community, while further providing access to powerful films from around the world in order to increase education and understanding.  By removing the economic barriers to a variety of screenings at the Festival, PFS expects to make the Festival accessible to all interested Philadelphians and to create a shared cultural experience throughout the community.
