Just think, Bruce Willis' oldest daughter Rumer would have only been 7 years old, and Brad Pitt was not only kid-less, he hadn't even met Jennifer Aniston yet. And Madeline Stowe was actually an actress with a household name back then!
And these fun, young gentlemen who attended the screening would have been in diapers: (See video):
Showing this classic sci-fi film at the Eastern State Penitentiary was spot on! Not only were some of the mental ward scenes shot there, but the effect of walking through the haunted prison to find the screening location set the mood perfectly for watching this post-apocalyptic thriller. Michelle (member of Eastern State Penitentiary) (rt) has seen 12 Monkeys several times over the years, and it's one of her favorite films. I always like to find out people's favorite movies of any genre. Michelle loves Will Ferrell in Stranger Than Fiction because Ferrell plays "against type". Cally's (lft) favorite is Johnny Depp in Blow. This was Cally's first time seeing 12 Monkeys.
Tom Lind (pictured with Diana) has been a long-time member of the Philadelphia Film Society, although this was his first filmadelphiaCLASSICS viewing. He loves outdoor summer screenings, and his favorite movie is Princess Bride
PFS' next filmadelphiaCLASSIC on-location outdoor screening is The Sixth Sense in Rittenhouse Square on Saturday, August 13th at 7:30pm. I hope you can join us!
