(October 3, 2013 – Philadelphia, PA) Philadelphia Film Society and Dock Street Brewing Co. announce a collaboration on the newest beer out of Dock Street’s line of locally-crafted brews, the Cinnister Cinema Stout. The stout will be available at Dock Street Brewery and exclusively at events during the 22nd Philadelphia Film Festival, including the Festival VIP Lounge.  Throughout Philadelphia, you can likely find Cinema Stout on tap at Standard Tap, Johnny Brenda’s and other select bars and restaurants in the city in the weeks leading up to the festival.

Cinnister Cinema Stout is a classic American Stout based on the award winning homebrew recipe of Dock Street Brewer, Justin Low. Brewed with Mexican cinnamon sticks and a dose of brown sugar, this stout is slightly bitter, roasty, coying and satisfying.

“Dock Street has been a proud supporter of the Philadelphia Film Festival since the 90’s. PFF mirrors Dock Street’s philosophies and values of excellence and diversity and we both serve the independent thinker,” said Rosemarie Certo, Dock Street Brewing Co. owner and longtime film enthusiast.

“The Philadelphia Film Society is thankful to our friends at Dock Street Brewery, who have continued to support our programs and initiatives over the years,” said Parinda Patel, Managing Director of the Philadelphia Film Society. “After years of speculating on a commemorative beer to both the local film community and the Philadelphia Film Festival, we’re excited to introduce the Cinnister Cinema Stout to the city.”

The Philadelphia Film Festival will run from Thursday, October 17 through Sunday, October 27, 2013. Tickets and packages are on sale now at
