A KNIGHT’S TALE is a rollicking good time full of 70s jams, epic jousting matches, and Heath Ledger at his dreamiest.
History books tell us that in the 14th Century, an uncommonly studly commoner named Will impersonated a man of noble birth in order to compete in the honorable and very lucrative sport of jousting. Aided by a ragtag group of friends including renowned author Geoffrey “Jeff” Chaucer, Will triumphed over his opponents as his fans rhythmically stomped and clapped along to Queen’s “We Will Rock You.” With his charm and wispy, golden locks, Will also caught the eye of Jocelyn, a foxy noblewoman who liked to dress like she was on her way to a medieval rave. Will won tournament after tournament and wooed his love with romantic letters and funky court dancing, but it was only a matter of time before his humble background caught up with him. Also, his blacksmith founded Nike. These are the facts, which A Knight’s Tale brings to life in stirring, period-accurate detail.
