Post-screening Q&A with Cooper, Klugman and Sterntha on August 27th at the Prince Music Theater

(Philadelphia, PA—August 7, 2012) – The Philadelphia Film Society (PFS) is thrilled to announce it’s hosting a very special, members-only, pre-release screening of The Words starring Bradley Cooper and Zoe Saldana.

The highly anticipated premier will be held at the Prince Music Theater, 1412 Chestnut Street, on August 27 at 8pm. After the screening, Bradley Cooper, with fellow Philadelphia natives, writer/director Brian Klugman and Lee Sternthal, will participate in a Q&A.

“We’re thrilled to be welcoming back Bradley Cooper, Brian Klugman and Lee Sternthal to Philadelphia, in support of The Words,” said PFS Executive Director Andrew Greenblatt. “We’re incredibly grateful to CBS Films for allowing us to present this fantastic film to Philadelphia.”

The Words, a multi-layered romantic drama, centers on Rory Jansen (Cooper), a talented writer with a beautiful wife (Saldana) and the pressures he feels to achieve success.  What he chooses to do in order to fulfill his ambition could cost him everything by repeating the mistakes of someone in the past.  Now, the worlds of two men living in different times threaten to converge as both are forced to confront the steep price that must be paid for placing ambition before love.

Along with The Words, PFS is gearing up to present the 21st Philadelphia Film Festival. The 11-day festival will run from October 18-28 and will feature over 100 films from all over the world. In previous years, renowned films have shown before their theatrical release including Black Swan, The Artist and The Descendants. Festival Badges and 6-Pack tickets are on sale now.
