DrinkPhilly.com Announces the Philadelphia Film Festival’s First Official Cocktail!

Here at the Philadelphia Film Society (PFS), we love going to the movies, and we especially love going out for dinner, drinks, and a movie. Really making a night of it, you know? Say what you will about the ease of watching movies on insta-TV-laptop-demand, we still believe that there’s something special and wonderful about escaping into another world via a well-made film on the silver screen.

Our good friends at Drink Philly are helping us to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Philadelphia Film Festival with our first-ever official cocktail, The Dangerous Method. Our other good friends over at local craft distillery Philadelphia Distilling concocted a delicious drink for us, named after the new David Cronenberg film that SOLD-OUT on 10/22. Luckily for you, this drink is still available at fine bars across the city.

Check out the recipe for the drink and a list of bars where you can find the special cocktail. The Dangerous Method will be available at:

  • Amada
  • Baby Blues BBQ
  • Capogiro (University City)
  • Farmers’ Cabinet
  • McCrossen’s Tavern

The Dangerous Method

  • 1½ oz Bluecoat Gin or Penn 1681 Vodka
  • ½ oz Aperol
  • ¼ oz Simple Syrup
  • ½ oz Lemon Juice

Combine all ingredients in an ice-filled shaker and shake vigorously. Strain into a coupe or martini glass. Garnish with lemon.

Thank you to Drink Philly, Philadelphia Distilling, and all our participating bars! We appreciate your support!
