PFS Drive-In at the Navy Yard!

PFS DRIVE-IN A THE NAVY YARD

Temporarily Closed for the Winter Season

With the creation of the PFS Drive-In at the Navy Yard, the Philadelphia Film Society can welcome back Philadelphia’s extensive community of film lovers for a socially distanced viewing experience of a diverse and exciting curated slate of films, all from the safety of their own cars.

PFS Drive-In at the Navy Yard is able to accommodate up to 180 cars per screening on the venue’s 2-screens, films will be shown via top-of-the-line digital projection on a large screen fastened to stacked shipping containers, creating optimal vantage points for attendees.

TICKET INFORMATION

Tickets: $12 | $8 for PFS Members | $7 Child (12 & Under)

ONLINE SALES ONLY. Operations will be check-in only, no box office sales at all will be conducted on site.

The Drive-In will reopen in March 5, 2021. The Drive-In will be open during the Spring season Friday – Sunday; and select Monday evenings for free community programmed screening.  All titles and showtimes will be listed at Filmadelphia.org/NowShowing.

SAFETY GUIDELINES

Safety is a priority, and each screening will comply with the most current health and safety standards per local jurisdictions and state regulations in order to protect patrons and staff. The PFS Drive-In will strictly adhere to City-approved safety guidelines for drive-ins – click HERE to read the full list of approved guidelines & Restrictions.

Attendees are required to remain in their vehicles at all times unless using the restroom. When outside the vehicle, attendees are required to wear a mask and practice social distancing.

FAQs

Can I purchase a ticket on site?
No. ONLINE SALES ONLY. Operations will be check-in only, no box office sales at all will be conducted on site.

When will the lot open?
Drive-In will open 1 hour before listed showtimes.

What should I bring with me?
Please make sure to have a your confirmation email and/or printed ticket – and that of all the passengers in your car – with you for check in.

What about the weather?
All screenings are rain or shine unless weather is determined to be too dangerous by management.

If a show is cancelled due to weather, when will I be notified?
An email will be sent out.

Will there be restrooms?
The site does have restrooms. Attendees must obey postings at the restroom entrances. Capacity limits must be adhered to.

Can I bring my pet?
No pets or animals of any kind are permitted on site, except certified service animals.

Will there be concessions?
At this time, there are no concessions or food trucks on site.

Can I bring my own food?
Yes. But please make sure to keep your food inside your vehicle and respect the grounds of the Navy Yard.

When will tickets go on sale?
Tickets will be available on Wednesdays. Please follow the Film Society on Facebook, Twitter, & Instagram for updates and subscribe to our email blast for ticket info sent out each week.

Do I have to wear a mask?
All attendees must wear a mask when using our restroom facilities.

How will I hear the movie audio?
Tune to 89.9 FM on your radio for the movie audio.

Can I sit outside my car?
Seating outside of your vehicle is permitted. Patrons are restricted to the immediate left side of the vehicle when facing the screen and must not spread beyond the right side of the vehicle.

Is it drive-in only or can I walk in and sit social distance?
This is a cars only drive-in.

How do I get to the Drive-In at the Navy Yard?
For GPS: Input “Admiral Peary Way &, League Island Blvd, Philadelphia, PA 19112” as the destination, or use the following directions from South Broad Street:
Enter the Navy Yard via Broad Street entrance.
Travel 0.7 mi to the end of Broad Street, then make left onto Admiral Peary Way.
In approx. 0.5 mi, you will see the Drive-In movie theater, just past the intersection of Admiral Peary Way & League Island Blvd.

Drive-In Movie Package | Now through September 5
The fun doesn’t have to end when the credits start to roll! Spend the night in the Navy Yard with the Drive-In Movie Package from Courtyard by Marriott Philadelphia South at the Navy Yard. Perfect for some family fun or a romantic getaway, this package takes movie night to a whole new level.  The package includes up to four movie tickets, a hotel room, parking, and a reusable gift bag with movie snacks (Popcorn, M&M’s, Hot Tamales, and Raisinets).

This exclusive package must be purchased in advance and is available Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights based on availability. Package rate is an additional $30 on top of the nightly rate ($60 value). The package will be available now through September 5, 2021. Booking is available HERE.
