Join the Philadelphia Film Society in celebrating the power of film across Philadelphia neighborhoods this summer! Planned in partnership with local community groups and organizations, each event creates space for meaningful conversation and engagement through carefully curated films paired with interactive activities, performances, educational demonstrations, and more.
All Movies on the Block events are free and open to the public!
Activities start at 6:00 PM and movies start at 8:15 PM.

Let’s activate Awbury with an evening of resources, jump rope, basketball, and more. From the playground to the field, there’s something to do for all ages. Join EMIR Healing Center and Northwest Action Alliance as they team up with the Philadelphia Film Society and Philadelphia Parks and Recreation to host a movie night event at Awbury Recreation Center, featuring CREED.

Don’t miss this South Philly night of class fun sponsored by the Philadelphia Film Society and Philadelphia Parks and Recreation in partnership with 6IX Agency, Make the World Better, and Self Love Sunday Mixer. Enjoy an evening of trivia, field games, food trucks, and more before screening the original MEN IN BLACK movie.

Brush up on your favorite lyrics and be ready to showcase your vocals at the SING movie night sponsored by the Philadelphia Film Society and Philadelphia Parks and Recreation in partnership with Stenton Museum and Stenton Advisory Council. This family friendly evening will include karaoke, BBQ, and more. Please note, all youth must be accompanied by an adult.

Baseball and book-bags at the park! Summer is winding down, but the fun doesn’t have to. Enjoy a FREE movie night at FDR Park in partnership with the Philadelphia Film Society and Grind 4 Greatness. With field games, food trucks, and free bookbags while supplies last, this is an evening you don’t want to miss!
All Movies on the Block events will have two cases of water provided by Wawa!
