Every Tuesday, every screening,* all day long, the Film Society Bourse and Film Society East provide open captioned screenings for patrons.

What are open captions? Similar to closed captions that you can turn on when watching movies at home, open captions display a movie’s dialogue, identify speakers, and describe other relevant sounds that are otherwise inaccessible to people who are deaf or hard of hearing. All are welcome to attend. We’re excited to offer this in theaters on the big screen!

*Certain films may not have captioning available due to the limits of their distributor, so please visit our Showtimes page regularly to view available titles.

See all Open Caption screenings easily by the “OC” identifier on the showtimes, or by turning on the “OPEN CAPTIONS” filter switch on the top right.
