The first years are searching for their places. The football team faces a contract binding them to their coach’s staid morals. And Wooderson… well, he’s continuing to be Wooderson.

But before the summer begins, a long, hazy, rock-and-roll-filled night lay ahead…

Writer/director Richard Linklater’s honest, hilarious, and enduringly quotable film is a take on the last day of school in 1976 and the teen cliques – jocks and stoners, seniors and freshmen – that dominated Austin’s burger stands, strip malls, and moontowers. DAZED AND CONFUSED isn’t a rework of teen movie cliches, nor is it empty nostalgia or a THAT ‘70S SHOW-style send-up. Linklater’s love letter to an era gone by makes DAZED a genuine and true portrait of its time and place.

Stars Matthew McConaughey and Parker Posey will join Linklater and host Jack Black – recorded via Zoom – for a look back at a film that captured the look and the sounds of an entire generation.

Alamo Drafthouse is offering the DAZED AND CONFUSED Cast Reunion as part of our Support Local Cinemas campaign. That means that theaters across the world will show the movie with the post-screening conversation
