Celebrating its 15th Anniversary, this holiday classic stars a zany Will Ferrell as Buddy, a human being adopted as a baby by the elves of the North Pole. Though raised to believe that he’s just an improbably large, gawky elf, Buddy discovers his true heritage and sets off for New York City to reunite with his real family. To Buddy’s dismay, his real dad Walter (James Caan) is a grumpy New York publisher on the “naughty list” due to his greedy ways. Though spurned at first by curmudgeonly father and treated like a raving lunatic by many of the jaded New Yorkers he encounters, Buddy eventually wins them over with his infectious enthusiasm. Featuring a top-notch supporting cast and one of Ferrell’s most lovably eccentric performances, Elf is dose of Christmastime good cheer that’s as heartfelt as it is hilarious.
