INSIDE OUT

PETE DOCTER, RONNIE DEL CARMEN | USA | 2015 | 95 MIN | PG | ENGLISH

In 2015, the genius production house of Pixar and director Pete Doctor (SOUL, UP) once again teamed up to unleash one of the most creative, poignant, and wonderful explorations of the human psyche ever seen in cinema. It just so happened to be a hilarious animated kids movie as well. Like any child would be, 11-year-old Riley experiences a whirlwind of emotions when her parents uproot the entire family home from Minnesota to San Francisco. Riley’s personified emotions, led by the radiating Joy (Amy Poehler), attempt to correct her quickly declining mood, yet the unusual methods employed by the likes of Sadness (Phyllis Smith) and Anger (Lewis Black) can’t seem to stop Riley from lashing out. As her inner self threatens to fall apart it will take a long lost imaginary friend named Bing Bong (Richard Kind) and the rest of Riley’s emotions to help her understand her feelings.

Spend the afternoon with your own joy and other emotions with pre-screening crafts and imagination activities. Kids and caregivers can get a closer look with activities that confront and explore feelings, and go home with a memento of their very own core memories.

Cast: Amy Poehler, Bill Hader, Lewis Black, Mindy Kaling
