Carpenters’ Hall presents a community screening of director Destin Daniel Cretton’s powerful 2019 film “Just Mercy,” based on the bestselling book by renowend civil-rights attorney Bryan Stevenson (played by Michael B. Jordan). One week later Carpenters’ Hall will present Mr. Stevenson with its prestigious David McCullough Prize for Excellence in American Public History. Proceeds from this screening will support the educational programs at Eastern State Penitentiary. PG-13, 137 mins.
