In this surreal odyssey set against the austerely beautiful Mongolian steppes, young herder Bagi’s nomadic lifestyle is upended when he and his family are forcibly relocated to a bleak coal-mining community. Haunted by prophetic visions, Bagi joins up with a band of scrappy rebels to resist the authoritarian forces clamping down on their way of life.
