LILO & STITCH

DEAN DEBLOIS, CHRIS SANDERS | USA | 2002 | 85 MIN | PG | ENGLISH, HAWAIIAN

The rambunctious and young Hawaiian, Lilo (Daveigh Chase), has become quite a handful for her older sister Nani (Tia Carrere) since she became the little troublemaker’s legal guardian. With Lilo struggling to relate to her classmates or even prevent stirring up a commotion, Nani decides to allow the six-year-old to adopt a pet for companionship and maybe learn a little bit about responsibility. But when a peculiar blue furry creature catches Lilo’s affection, it sets off an intergalactic conflict that teaches the two wild troublemakers about the power of family, no matter the shape and size. LILO & STITCH immediately captured the hearts of millions across the world and introduced the importance of being yourself and a big laugh can help even during life’s hardships. It’s ok to be different, but it just takes some time (and a fuzzball alien) for Lilo to discover this in Disney’s out of this world adventure.
