MY NEIGHBOR TOTORO
HAYAO MIYAZAKI | JAPAN | 1988 | 86 MIN | G | ENGLISH (DUBBED)
Despite a legendary career filled with some of the most emotionally-resonant and imaginative scenes, animated or not, in cinema, Hayao Miyazaki’s My Neighbor Totoro remains for many the Studio Ghibli film. An endlessly charming tale that encourages wonder, exploration, and acceptance of the unknown all told through the eyes of two sisters facing one of life’s hardest challenges. After moving to a new home with their father to be near their sick mother, Mei and Satsuki discover that they have the most surprising of roommates in the form of mischievous soot bunnies. As their curiosity leads them into the neighboring forest they will encounter a bevy of timeless characters that will instill memories in them and viewers of all ages for a lifetime.
