PET SEMATARY

MARY LAMBERT | USA | 1989 | 103 MIN | R

Mary Lambert’s adaptation of the bestselling novel brings Stephen King’s tale of reanimation-gone-wrong to bloody, ghoulish life. After relocating from Chicago to rural Maine with his wife and two young kids, Louis Creed (Dale Midkiff) meets elderly neighbor Jud Crandall (Fred Gwynne), who introduces Louis to a mysterious pet cemetery where the community’s deceased companions have been known to come back to life. In the wake of an unexpected tragedy, Louis makes a desperate return to the cemetery, with terrifying consequences. With its eerily emotional story and memorably grisly imagery, Pet Sematary has retained a reputation among horror fans as one of cinema’s great Stephen King adaptations.

Cast: Dale Midkiff, Fred Gwynne, Denise Crosby, Brad Greenquist, Blaze Berdahl
