I’M YOUR WOMAN
Rachel Brosnahan (THE MARVELOUS MRS. MAISEL) stars as Jean, a young woman forced to go on a perilous journey with her baby after her criminal husband betrays his boss in this ‘70s-set crime drama.
Jean (Brosnahan) is a somber but caring housewife. She has the rug pulled out from under her when she and her new baby are awoken in the middle of the night by her husband’s coworker, telling her to leave town. With her baby in tow, Jean sets off with a stranger named Cal (Arinzé Kene), who informs her that after crossing his boss, her husband has gone missing. Suddenly thrown into the seedy criminal underworld to which she was previously naïve, Jean has no choice but to confront the dark truth of her husband’s life as she’s forced to navigate through it herself. After befriending the no-nonsense Teri (Marsha Setphanie Blake), the two attempt to get to the truth of what’s really going on. Directed by Julia Hart (MISS STEVENS, STAR GIRL) and co-written by Hart and Oscar nominee Jordan Horowitz (producer, LA LA LAND), I’m Your Woman is an altogether refreshing, feminist spin on the 1970s crime genre.
