PG (PSYCHO GOREMAN)
Bickering siblings discover a magic crystal that controls a civilization-destroying monster in this bonkers, high five inducing throwback filled with eye-popping practical effects.
A fish out of water tale like no other, PSYCHO GOREMAN (PG for short) is an ass-kicking and hilarious ode to 90s live-action Saturday morning television, but with a big dose of R-rated content thrown in for good measure. Spunky, sass-for-days Mimi (Nita-Josee Hanna) and her twerp brother Luke (Owen Myre) discover a space crystal that wields power over PG, a disgruntled, jacked alien beast who’d rather be off conquering another planet than be at the beck and call of a pint-sized, ADD-raddled tween. Forced to curb his blood lust, PG finds new passions in shopping, hunky magazine ads, and even some backyard sports. When his old space nemeses, the Templars, discover he has returned, they will stop at nothing to destroy him, and Earth in the process. Overflowing with visionary practical effects and costumes that recall the heyday of Japanese tokusatsu-inspired shows like Power Rangers, PG matches its eye candy with an over-the-top script filled with surprises, heart, and a whole lotta exploding heads. PG rules.
