THE END OF US

Steven Kanter, Henry Loevner | USA | English | 2021 | 91 MIN

Breaking up is difficult enough, but for Leah and Nick it’s made infinitely more complicated when the end of their relationship coincides with the COVID-19 lockdown in this hilarious anti-romantic comedy.

After a heated argument comes to a head, Nick (Ben Coleman) and Leah (Ali Vingiano), a quirky couple who live together, make the difficult decision to end their relationship. Unfortunately for the pair, their breakup happens to land just as California announces its stay-at-home order as a result of the coronavirus. Leah, a workaholic now confined to her computer screen and too afraid to leave the house, does her best to avoid her now-ex Nick, an out-of-work actor who has nowhere else to go but the couch in the living room. But with the pandemic raging outside and no safe way to physically separate from each other, the two exes are forced to navigate the complicated, messy, and often hilarious realities of trying to move on while being stuck together. From writer-directors Steven Kanter and Henry Loevner, THE END OF US is a timely and witty look at how a global pandemic can completely reshape our relationships and shine light on what we really value in ourselves and others.

CAST: Ben Coleman, Ali Vingiano, Derrick DeBlasis, Gadiel Del Orbe
