One morning in the summer of 2020, a group of powerful friends each receives a mysterious box at their residences. Inside is a series of puzzles leading them to a murder mystery party on a private island hosted by their old friend, tech billionaire Miles Bron (Edward Norton). But with renowned detective Benoit Blanc as the only stranger on the guest list, what game is actually afoot? For his second KNIVES outing, Director Rian Johnson cranks the comedy up to eleven, skewering a modern age where tech giants and the uber wealthy control vast portions of the world we live in. Much like the title would suggest, GLASS ONION is a beautifully layered script full of carefully positioned clues and reveals, motives and opportunities, setups and punchlines. Featuring an all-star cast, this whodunit wrapped in a whydunit covered in a howdunit is an unforgettable night at the movies.
