THE NIGHT OF THE 12TH
Walking home from a friend’s house one crisp October evening in the French Alps, Clara (Lula Cotton-Frapier) is approached by a hooded figure and brutally murdered, sending shockwaves through the community. Newly appointed police captain Yohan (Bastien Bouillon) is assigned to Clara’s case. Austere and methodical, Yohan slowly finds himself equally haunted by and fascinated with finding Clara’s killer. As Yohan and his rough-around-the-edges partner Marceau (Bouli Lanners) interrogate several of Clara’s ex-boyfriends and lovers, they begin to realize just how many men could have caused her harm. Yohan and Marceau pull at every thread they can, and in the troubling process the line between professionalism and obsession begins to blur. Directed by Dominik Moll (NEWS FROM PLANET MARS, PFF25), THE NIGHT OF THE 12TH is a gripping mystery that unfolds in unexpected and unnerving ways.
