Daydreamer David (Steve Laplante) finally finds a purpose in life when he is chosen to participate in a radical last-ditch effort to save the turmoiled crew of the first manned mission to Mars in Stéphane Lafleur’s wry, intergalactic comedy of manners. Though his head is often in the clouds, David’s feet will be firmly planted on Earth. Alongside four strangers in what they call a “B Team,” David and his compatriots are each assigned to portray an astronaut who is currently floating through the solar system. Sequestered in a remote location for two years, the team members receive a daily emotional prompt from the crew in the sky in the hopes that they can anticipate the interactions and problems ahead. As the lines between the mission and reality begin to blur over time in his new desert home, David will truly go where no man has gone before.
