WEIRD: THE AL YANKOVIC STORY

Eric Appel | USA | English | 2022 | 108 MIN

Within these frames, dear viewer, lies the not-at-all fabricated, opposite-of-hyperbolic, fact-perfect life story of one Mr. Al Yankovic (played with infectious spirit by Daniel Radcliffe), a man with the dream of rewriting the words to pop songs for comic effect. From his early days of sneaking out from under his father’s oppressive thumb to show off his accordion skills at illicit polka parties, to his late-career drug addiction and torrid relationship with Madonna, this hilariously biting story of the artist known as “Weird Al” is one of the best comedies of the year. Populated by a plethora of cameos from Quinta Brunson to Conan O’Brien and featuring recreations of all your favorite hits, including “Another One Rides the Bus,” “Like a Surgeon,” and “My Bologna,” Weird is an all-out fun fest for generations of old and new Yankovic fans.

CAST: Daniel Radcliffe, Evan Rachel Wood, Rainn Wilson, Toby Huss
