Sensory Friendly Screening: THE INCREDIBLES

BRAD BIRD | USA | 2004 | 115 MIN | PG | ENGLISH

FREE Community Screening
in partnership with SpArc Philadelphia

Tickets for this event are FREE, a reservation to the event is required.
Admission is on a first-come first-served basis.

Known to the world as superheroes Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl, Bob Parr and his wife Helen were among the world’s greatest crime fighters, saving lives and battling evil on a daily basis. Fifteen years later, they have been forced to adopt civilian identities and retreat to the suburbs to live “normal” lives with their three kids, Violet, Dash and Jack-Jack. Itching to get back into action, Bob gets his chance when a mysterious communication summons him to a remote island for a top secret assignment.

A community screening where the lights are up, the sound is down, and patrons are invited to respond to the film in whatever way feels best for their bodies and minds! See below for more details.

PFS’ Relaxed Screening Approach
PFS is proud to offer a variety of enhancements to create a sensory friendly, relaxed screening experience for any patrons who may benefit from the opportunity to enjoy an altered theatrical setting. These will include:

● Welcome Board for patrons to identify PFS Staff Members
● Film related activity for individuals to work on in their seats will be provided
● Earplugs will be available
● Lowered audio levels
● House lights remain on at a dimmed level
● Patrons are welcome to get up, move around, and vocalize during the screening
● A Quiet Space will be provided in the lobby for individuals in need of a reprieve
● Pre-film materials are available upon request

We also invite our patrons to bring items such as fidget/handheld manipulatives, noise-cancelling headphones, stress sensory toys, or other devices needed in order to feel comfortable and safe during the screening.

A Note on Health & Safety

As of April 4, the Philadelphia Film Society will make masking optional and will continue to require proof of completion of COVID vaccinations for all patrons of the Philadelphia Film Center & PFS Bourse.

Completing vaccinations means that they have received two doses of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or a single dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

Acceptable forms of proof of vaccination include your CDC record/card or a picture of the vaccination card along with photo I.D.
