Atonement Agenda: Public Screening

Admission is on a first-come, first-served basis.

WHYY’s new three-part series The Atonement Agenda explores plans and concepts for reparations that could increase access to housing, education and business capital thus seeking to repair the Black lives and communities devastated by slavery, Jim Crow, and other forms of systemic racism. Join WHYY’s Christopher “Flood the Drummer” Norris for a screening of The Atonement Agenda’s first episode and a discussion with local experts about reparations and whether these compensations could close the racial wealth gap.

Panelist include:
Lisa Sharon Harper, author, Fortune: How Race Broke My Family and The World and How to Repair it All. Rev. Naomi Washington-Leapheart, Director, Mayor’s Office of Faith Based Initiatives. Rashaun Williams, co-chair, N’Cobra, Phila chapter. Khaleef Alexander, co-founder, Millennial Juneteenth

A Note on Health & Safety

As of April 22, the Philadelphia Film Society will make masking optional and will continue to require proof of completion of COVID vaccinations for all patrons of the Philadelphia Film Center & PFS Bourse.

Completing vaccinations means that they have received two doses of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or a single dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

Acceptable forms of proof of vaccination include your CDC record/card or a picture of the vaccination card along with photo I.D.
