Your support helps us bring the power of film to more people and connect Philadelphia to the wider film community.

  • Community Screenings, offering free monthly films curated in partnership with Philadelphia arts and advocacy organizations
  • Field Trips, using groundbreaking films to ignite important discussions about art, justice, and social change
  • Movies on the Block, bringing free films to neighborhoods across Philadelphia paired with interactive activities, performances, educational demonstrations, and more
  • Filmmaking Residencies, creating film programming with partner organizations and schools to serve the specific needs of their communities
  • PFS on US, distributing free tickets for screenings to nonprofit organizations, arts and cultural groups, universities, and Philadelphia’s general public

Please consider supporting these, and the many other cinematic experiences presented in your theaters, your community, and your schools.

Other Ways to Give
Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC)

The EITC program is a great opportunity for Pennsylvania businesses to support education in their communities while receiving significant tax benefits. EITC contributions support the PFS’ Student Screening Program, our largest education program that works with over 4,000 students each year. Businesses can receive a 75-90% tax credit for gifts to the PFS Student Screening Program, up to $750,000 annually.

Pennsylvania businesses can apply for EITC credits through the Department of Community & Economic Development’s (DCED) electronic single application system.

Find more information about EITC and download the business application guide, here.

Workplace Giving

One of the easiest, most effective ways you can support PFS is through workplace giving. And since companies often match employee contributions, workplace giving allows you to directly influence your company’s philanthropy.

Check with your payroll administrator to see if PFS is on your company’s list of approved charities in your workplace contribution campaign. If we’re not listed, ask if you can write us in or have us added to the list. To direct contributions through the United Way of Greater Philadelphia & Southern New Jersey’s Donor Choice Program use designation code 54203.

Planned Giving

Making a planned gift is a thoughtful way to contribute to the future of PFS—and to create a legacy that will inspire film enthusiasts for generations to come.

Your generosity to future generations can also benefit you and your family with an immediate tax deduction, estate tax savings, and investment income.
