What is Shift72?

Shift72 is the platform that hosts the PFS Virtual Cinema. It’s a platform used by many top-tier Festival and cinemas, including TIFF. For the most part, however, we’ll refer to our Virtual Theater page as PFS Vitual Cinema, not Shift72 – just to be clearer.

Is this the same platform that was used for the SpringFest?

Yes!

Are films geoblocked?

All films are geolocked at least to the United States, meaning that they can only be viewed in the US.

How long will I have to complete films?

Once rented, you will have until the end of the Festival to start your film, except where otherwise noted; watch windows are 48 hours. This means that, once purchased, patrons will have until October 31 to press play. Once you hit play, you will have 48 hours to complete the film.
