The Film Society Center Is Getting a Major Makeover!
Exciting renovations begin this summer to enhance your film-going experience.
As part of our $4 million Moving Film Forward Capital Campaign, this summer marks the next phase of our ambitious renovations—designed to make your everyday cinema experience more welcoming, accessible, and unforgettable.
From Memorial Day through Labor Day, the Film Society Center will be temporarily closed while we create a brand-new entrance and box office, expand the lobby with new public amenities, increase accessibility for all patrons, and upgrade systems and infrastructure behind the scenes.
No pause on great films! While our Center is under construction, you can continue to enjoy new releases and year-round curated programming at the Film Society Bourse and Film Society East.
All renovations will be completed in time to reopen fall 2025, celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Philadelphia Film Society’s stewardship of this landmark venue.
