The year is 932 AD and Arthur, King of the Britons (Graham Chapman) and his trusty servant Patsy (Terry Gilliam) are clippity-clopping around Britain in search of valorous men to join the Knights of the Round Table. After assembling a crew including Sir Lancelot the Brave (John Cleese) and Sir Robin the Not-Quite-So-Brave-as-Sir-Lancelot (Eric Idle), Arthur is tasked by God with searching for the fabled Holy Grail. On their quest, the men encounter the Knights Who Say Ni, the nubile virgins of Castle Anthrax, and some very rude Frenchmen, and must face the Bridge of Death before getting to the grail. Hilarious and brilliantly silly, this medieval romp is perhaps the most beloved of Monty Python’s cinematic outings.
