Rita (Mónica Villa) is a pious but competitive chapel custodian who lives a quiet life with her loving, overlooked husband. Rita and the other elderly ladies in her small Argentinian town are in constant battle over whose actions are the most devout. Determined to be deemed the most saintly among them, Rita becomes increasingly desperate to bear witness to a miracle–even if it means staging one herself. As her well-meaning but convoluted miracle-making plans come to an unexpected head, Rita’s life is turned upside down. Rita must now embark on an introspective journey as she waits for the next chapter of her life to unfold.
