THE THREE MUSKETEERS: D’ARTAGNAN
Alexandre Dumas’s THE THREE MUSKETEERS has spawned countless adaptations since its publication in 1844, but none has approached the spectacle and excitement of this epic treatment from director Martin Bourboulon, who assembles a who’s who of French acting talent to breathe new life into this timeless story. In 17th-century Paris, young D’Artagnan (François Civil) is eager to join the king’s elite Musketeers of the Guard. After initially starting off on the wrong foot, D’Artagnan earns the trust of three grizzled musketeers, Athos (Vincent Cassel), Aramis (Romain Duris), and Porthos (Pio Marmaï). Together, they face off against an evil spy (Eva Green) who’s working to undermine the rule of King Louis XIII (Louis Garrel). Chock-full of pulse-pounding chases, electrifying duels, and astonishing stunts, THE THREE MUSKETEERS: D’ARTAGNAN is a glorious slice of old-fashioned entertainment. The first in a two-part series, it’s sure to leave viewers desperate for another adventure with the titular trio.
