ALADDIN
RON CLEMENTS, JOHN MUSKER| USA | 1992 | 90 MIN | G | ENGLISH
A cornerstone of Disney’s unmatched animated renaissance of the 90s, ALADDIN is a spirited adaptation of the One Thousand and One Nights tale that introduced a whole new world of unforgettable characters steeped in Middle Eastern folklore. From Gilbert Godfrey’s squawking Iago to the late Robin Williams’ hyperactive Genie, the tale of street urchin Aladdin and his pet monkey Abu discovering a wish-granting magical genie is bursting with life around every street corner. Using his new found wish power, Aladdin becomes the regaled Prince Ali and attempts to court Prince Jasmine in the process. But when the perpetually goatee-stroking Jafar steals the lamp for his own nefarious plans, Aladdin must use his wit, not magic and riches, to overcome the evil Royal Vizier of Agrabah. ALADDIN continues to make the young, old, and young at heart alike marvel at its wonders and remarkable songs, while assuring that the magic will never get old.
Add a little magic to the afternoon with a series of Aladdin-themed activities before the screening with crafts and imagination play. Kids and caregivers can craft their Genie Lamps and three special wishes, imagine the perfect genie for their own adventures, and draw their very own whole new world for a perfect magic carpet ride.
Cast: Scott Weinger, Robin Williams, Linda Larkin, Jonathan Freeman
